Today, September 26th is National Pharmacist's Day, a special date for all Portuguese pharmacists.
Since 1989, the Order of Pharmacists has marked the date by carrying out various activities and initiatives marked by coexistence and fraternization between colleagues, by valuing the role of these health professionals in society.
Pharmacists' Day celebrations are organized every year, involving many pharmacists individually or from other organizations and sectoral associations. This year, on September 26th, the celebrations of National Pharmacist's Day will be organized at the Penha Longa Monastery, in Sintra, where a Solemn Commemorative Session will take place.
Being a tradition with more than three decades, the Order of Pharmacists will honor pharmacists who complete 50 years of graduation for their dedication to the profession and will also recognize the students who achieved the highest classifications in the Integrated Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences trained in our country.
